I WAS BORN THIS WAY...
As a kid I was always CREATING - shows for my birthdays, songs, poems, short stories, and making art out of anything I could get me hands on. Stories and ideas filled my head. Teachers said I talked too much until... I wrote, starred and directed a play in the 5th grade.
My parents Jorge Ernesto & Maria Esther Cabello are Mexican immigrants. They settled in Austin, TX and that's where I was born and raised. Currently I'm living in NYC with my hubby and my chihuahua mix ZsaZsa. I spoke Spanish first (gracias parents!) then learned English from my brothers and in school. Gracias padres for your sacrifice to give me a better life!!
I put myself through college and got my BA in Studio Art and that opened up another creative medium for me so I started a second career in Graphic Design while still performing in local theater productions.
After graduating from college I got my very first talent agent and I have been working non stop ever since. ;) Thank you Donna Adams for starting my career and to all my repeat clients!!

Currently you can see me as Guillermo’s mom Silvia on What We Do In The Shadows and on the new Freevee series SPRUNG as Lucia. During the quarantine I created a variety show “Myrna & The Bulldog in 3D” with my husband! We are currently working on episode 3. You can also hear me on promo spots for PBS Kids, several Covid 19 spots for Texas, and on Pandora for various brands.
